About Shayna
First and foremost a Jew. Led by Hashem.
Shayna became a lawyer to fight for justice. She does not work for a firm. She does not fold to the pressures and politics of human beings. Her one and only boss is God Almighty.
Born and raised in Jupiter, Florida; Shayna graduated in the top 5% of her class from Suncoast Community High School's International Baccalaureate Programme in Riviera Beach, FL. She went on to New York City to attend the Joint Program between Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary, graduating with a BA in Political Science (cum laude) and a BA in Bible (magna cum laude), respectively. She then attended, on a full-ride merit-based scholarship, the Middlebury Language School of Hebrew in Vermont, where no English was allowed, graduating with a 4.0. She then volunteered as a First-Aid Provider on ambulances with Magen David Adom in Haifa, Israel.
Shayna returned to Florida to found and run her own tutoring business, where she specialized in Math, English, and Hebrew. After selling her business, she left to Boston College Law School, where her Spanish led her to focus on immigration law, ultimately winning remand for an immigrant-detainee on a final appeal from an order of removal. She then worked for Catholic Charities in Los Angeles, winning SIJS for unaccompanied minors.
Shayna then worked in Brooklyn, NY as a business immigration attorney, preparing and filing O-1 petitions for foreign nationals of extraordinary ability in arts, entertainment, and sports.
Shayna returned to Florida in 2019, working as an employment litigator for both plaintiff and defense. She then worked for the Florida's largest, full-service, civil litigation law firm for 2.5 years; handling pleadings; written discovery; taking and defending of depositions; and researching, writing, and arguing evidentiary and dispositive motions. Throughout these years and her life as a whole, Shayna was an active member of the Jewish community, leading youth groups, Israel trips, Hebrew classes, Shabbat dinners, and more.
Shayna then heeded a divine calling to go work for the Jewish Community and Israel, becoming the full-time Hebrew teacher for a Jewish Day School in Palm Beach County, where she taught in 100% Hebrew immersion. After her teaching sabbatical, where Shayna experienced the pressures and politics of being a mandated reporter of abuse, Shayna sought to become a Detective in the West Palm Beach Police Department. As a Police Recruit, she trained with military, law enforcement, security, and firearms professionals.
Although God had other plans, Shayna applied her passion for security in becoming Counsel to an armed security company in Palm Beach County. Soon thereafter, she became a dependency attorney, involving parents accused of abuse, abandonment, and neglect of their children.
Shayna then was sworn in as a prosecutor for the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office, where she prosecuted misdemeanors and criminal traffic cases from arraignment through trial.
Harnessing a lifetime of passion and prowess, Shayna is thrilled to fight the good fight on her own terms. SHAYNA THE SHARK looks forward to fighting shoulder-to-shoulder with you for Justice.

Deeply inspired by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
